  Interesting black beach area, if you enjoy local rock formations. For best results, check timing ahead and go at low tide for an easy walk to them from the car park. At high tide, water may be chest high and you'll want swimming attire and strong water skills. It's a beautiful, green and winding road getting to that area. Definitely obey posted speeds for the roadway to and from this destination.

  Nice place to take a walk and enjoy on other beautiful sight of NZ. I recommend to check the tide before u consider to go there. Also when it rains u might want to be aware that u might step 60 cm of water from the river coming down from close hills...
